Loch Lannsaidh

Lannsaidh is a stocked rainbow loch with a head of wild brown trout as well. It is said that there are Arctic Char in the loch, we haven’t seen one yet. Maybe next season.

The loch is controlled by Dornoch and District Angling Association. They have 2 boats on the loch and bank fishing is permitted all round. Tickets are available from the Pet Shop in Dornoch, though, if you are travelling any distance to fish here, it is worth booking in advance.

Through the late spring and summer a floating line with a team of traditional loch flies will be all that is required. My preferred rod is a 10 ft. 6 weight.
